Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PrepPal Kitchen (preppalkitchen.com), operated by Deepak Samji ("we", "us") in British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

PrepPal Kitchen generates weekly dinner plans, recipes and grocery lists based on the preferences you give us. Some features also use your pantry and recipes you import. There are two plans — Home Chef and Head Chef — as described on our pricing page.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Give us accurate information and keep your email address current.

3. AI-generated recipes — please read

Recipes and plans are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain mistakes, including wrong quantities, cooking times or temperatures, or ingredients that don't match your choices.

• Always check ingredients yourself for allergens, even if you selected allergens to avoid.
• Follow safe food-handling practices and cook food to safe internal temperatures.
• PrepPal Kitchen is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If you have allergies, a medical condition or specific dietary needs, check with a qualified professional.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

• Home Chef is free for 1 month from sign-up, with the usage limits shown on our pricing page. After that free month, continuing to generate plans, swap meals, import recipes or use your pantry requires the Head Chef plan; your saved plans, grocery lists and favorites stay available to view.
• The Head Chef plan is billed monthly in the currency shown at checkout — US or Canadian dollars, based on your location — plus any applicable taxes, and renews automatically until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number.
• You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from Account › Subscription › Manage billing. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains what happens when you do.
• We may change prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Monthly limits (meal plans, swaps) reset at the start of each billing period and don't roll over.

5. Your content

"Your content" includes your preferences, pantry items, notes, favorites, recipes you import, and messages you send us. You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to store and process it only to run and improve the service for you.

When you import a recipe from another website or a photo, it's saved for your own personal use. You're responsible for having the right to use what you import. Don't use PrepPal Kitchen to republish other people's recipes.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. This includes: trying to access other users' data; interfering with or overloading the service; scraping or reselling it; using automated tools to create accounts or generate plans in bulk; trying to get around plan limits or payment; or using the service for anything unlawful.

7. Our content

The PrepPal Kitchen name, logo, design and software belong to us. Plans and recipes generated for you are for your personal, non-commercial use.

8. Changes and availability

We're a small team and we're improving the service all the time. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@preppalkitchen.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that recipes will suit your needs. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

12. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
